I recently broke my charger cable (dog chewed on them) and bought original cable on a Samsung Store.

It still all depends on you. 😊

For me my phone is a investment and I prefer to have original and official cable to ensure it charges properly.

You're the one asking about some battery issues and how costly they are right? Well, using subpar or non legit cables (and/or charging bricks for that matter) will result in more costly problems later on.
