Charging issues after lasted software update

After updating to Android 13/One UI 5 my Samsung S21+ 5G (SM-G996W) keeps falsely detecting water in the charging port. When I plug it in to charge in my car, it works just fine until I turn the car off. When I turn the car off it will give me the moisture detected in charging port warning. This warning stays on indefinitely. The only way I found to fix this warning, is to shut down my phone, plug it in, see that it's charging, and then turn my phone back on. Otherwise the moisture detected in charging port warning will not disappear. The longest I've left it active was one whole week. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues.

I am having similar issues on my s23 Ultra. Been having charging issues the last couple of weeks. Thought it might be the USB C port. Just updated my work phone s20FE over the weekend to the latest patch and now am having the exact same issues. It is driving me crazy that neither of them will charge correctly. Wireless charging works fine. Both my deices either don't charge, have the water in the port warning, or say USB device is not compatible. This is with 5 different chargers, 10+ USB cables and 4 different USB power banks. Beyond frustrating. I opened a ticket with Samsung and they had me take it to Best Buy geek squad and they did not see any issues or dirty port, plus I cleaned it really well. Also took it to ubreakifix office per Samsung. They also did not see any issues and just want to replace the USB port which I don't think will fix the issue and almost certainly it seems to be a software problem.

Exactly the same issue here with my S21 Ultra - I wish I saw that this was a common problem sooner.. Unfortunately, I've already had my charging port replaced which didn't solve the issue, then I thought it might be the battery so I also replaced the battery.

No fast/superfast charging and android auto also won't connect to the car. Like you, I've tried multiple cables and charging adapters (genuine samsung as well as third party) and even bought a new ones.

Still no resolve.

It's 100% absolutely software related. It has to be because all of these things worked fine before and still work fine with my wife's phone (iPhone).

I have the same issue. Phone worked perfectly for 2yrs then after the last update or the one right before it, the charging port stopped charg6unless I turned the phone off then on. USB flash drives used to work, now I get an alert that USB device is connected/disconnected.  I cannot change USB options in settings either. Did a factory reset and phone worked great, like brand new. ...Until it updated. Now the USB issue is back.

Same problem here as others are reporting. Galaxy S20FE, since the latest update, when plugged into the charger it initially pops up with 'Fast Charging' then the fast charging function disappears after a few seconds.
I have also had the phone randomly beeping whilst charging the phone, as though the charging is being repeatedly turned on and off.
I tried to use USB C headphones today (I have 2 sets which always worked). No such luck any more.... I get weird ticking noises through the headset and the phone repeatedly tells me that a USB device is connected and then disconnected.

I have also had a few spurious 'moisture in the USB port' alerts in the last week.

I have turned the phone off and meticulously cleaned the USB port with contact cleaner. It has made no difference. Very annoying.

C'mon Samsung. Going by other reports of the same issues you have messed up your latest software update. Please release a patch for us to fix these issues ASAP!

All of a sudden my z fold says slow charge then won't charge at all.  I tried all the chargers I've been using.  I did a soft reset and it worked until I unplugged it and then wouldn't work again.  I found that it does work with one certain brand new charger I bought on vacation last week.  I don't think its the port.  I did update while on vacation.   Please send fix.

So, I found an update available on my S20FE today (22nd August). I have downloaded and installed it.
And...... The USB port appears to be working properly again. USB headphones work as they should!

Hey samsung there is still a firmware issue with the kernel and packages. I viewed the logs and there is a package that locks out the charging port. When it goes through the process to check wattage and remove the block it fails to mount to the correct path thus NOT removing the block.
