It's so frustrating having features on a phone that you cant use. My phone did an update this morning and now chat features shows in message, however I cannot tirm them on, I only get registration failed. Does anyone know when telus is going to catch up to bell and Roger's and roll out rcs messages?

ugh! their plans are stupid expensive to start and now to have features on my phone I cant use when all other carriers support it is frustrating!

The RCS function will be available on the samsung range of Telus at the end of 2019, so at the end of 2019. It goes with the level of sale so from the cheapest phones to the most sold. in this case the next ones to get the RCS at telus are LG and so on. So sure sources by telus, samsung will get the RCS in the month of December. I am so in the beta program for the test I will keep you informed when I have the option.

i have koodo which is basically telus network. but as per information i get to know that they are testing it yet so with time we all will get to use but don't know that how long will it take

I give you the real answer Telus/koodo/public mobile launch rcs for each Phone at the same time, Samsung is not on testing for now. i'm working for telus in the network group

They never have dates. I gave up asking because noone knows when anything is launching until it launches.

I was able to activate chat settings on my note 8 recently but I dont see any difference I'm assuming others have to manually activate it. does it matter what network the other person is on?

from what I understand they have to have the same setting enable for you to see that they have read your message.
