Galaxy S
I’m honestly at my breaking point with Samsung right now.
I bought my Galaxy S23 Ultra barely a year ago, and yesterday I suddenly noticed one vertical line on my screen. This morning?
THREE lines — 2 pink and 1 green.
And it keeps getting worse.
We’re talking about a flagship phone, a device marketed as “premium,” “durable,” and “built to last.” Yet here I am, stuck with a screen defect that I did absolutely NOTHING to cause. No drops, no pressure, no water damage — just a phone that randomly decides to destroy its own display after a year of normal use.
How can Samsung justify this?
This isn’t a “tiny issue.”
This is a massive quality control failure, and it’s happening to SO MANY users across different Samsung models (S21, S22, and now S23 Ultras). It honestly feels like the company is pretending this problem doesn’t exist, instead of owning up to it and offering a proper recall or free repair program.
What really frustrates me is:
This is supposed to be Samsung’s top-tier flagship.
The repair cost is ridiculously high for something that’s clearly a manufacturer defect.
There’s no official acknowledgment of the widespread vertical line issue.
Customers like us are left with the burden, even though this isn’t our fault.
Samsung, how is this acceptable?
How do you sell a device at premium pricing and then leave loyal customers dealing with hardware failures barely past a year? We trusted your “flagship quality,” and now many of us are suffering the SAME problem — and paying out of pocket for it.
I’m posting this because Samsung needs to be held accountable.
If this issue keeps spreading, it won’t just be a defect — it’s a reputation killer.
Samsung, do better. Your customers deserve better.

Stop frustrating yourself, Samsung won't listen to it.

I heard on other samsung user from PH that they had to resort for filing a complaint to DTI online, especially hardware issues and without the consumer doing anything on the device. I personally is experiencing it on my S23, i might have to resort to file a complaint also as this is unfair for us users especially for an expensive flagship phone, we paid for this phone and we deserve a proper solution from Samsung Philippines. Samsung india offered a one time screen replacement for some models that are affected even outside of warranty coverage. This is absurd

Was it resolved? I have been to the service center yesterday and they just looked at my screen (literally) and said it is 16500 for replacement. Like i am probably the nth customer that brought up this issue. It is sooooo infuriating.
