Galaxy SHi InsaneVaas,
Yes, your plan can work, but there are better ways to ensure your primary SIM does not incur roaming charges while using your eSIM for data roaming in the U.S.
Turn Off Data Roaming for the Primary SIM: While you mentioned the option to disable data roaming for a specific SIM isn’t visible, double-check:
Settings > Connections > SIM Manager (or Mobile Network). Locate your primary SIM and turn off its Data Roaming.
Set the eSIM as the Primary for Data: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager. Set the eSIM as the Preferred SIM for Mobile Data. Turn on Data Roaming only for this eSIM.
This ensures that all mobile data usage happens through the eSIM, preventing your primary SIM from using data.
Disable Mobile Data on Your Primary SIM as an extra precaution. In SIM Manager, disable Mobile Data for your primary SIM. This ensures it won’t accidentally use data even if roaming is turned on.
Thank you.
