Delete smartswitch

With the new one UI6. I cannot remove Smart switch. Any idea? Thanks

Smart Switch is now a System App, which is why you can't delete it. You can disable it if you want to... but I'm not sure why you would want to:

a) delete it.

b) disable it.

Awww thanks for the info. I could only move it to home screen. I use it only when I switch devices

I use Smart Switch for weekly backups as well, but I'm not sure what you mean by, "I could only move it to the home screen"?

Is Smart Switch on your home screen, but you don't want it there, or?

It was on another screen and I wanted to delete or disable but wasn't given the option. I recently updated to one UI 6. Weekly backups of photos? Music?

I find no use of the Smart Switch app except for initial phone setup when data can be transferred from the old phone to new. So, why is it a system app, what purpose its trying to achieve by running in the memory 24x7, I have seen that this app always runs in the memory consuming around 28 MB ram. 

So is it ok if i disable it, will there be any impact on the phone if its disabled.

Smart Switch should not be running, unless you are using the app.

You can always disable it from Settings > Apps > Smart Switch > Disable.

I cannot find smart switch under my apps but it won't stop trying to run.  It seems to be trying to install but has been sine yesterday

Are you searching in Settings > Apps?
