Galaxy SDo you have your "whitelist" Contacts set as "Favourites"?
If not try setting the people who you want to be able to get past Do Not Disturb as your Favourite Contacts & in DND allow Favourites to ignore DND.
Works for me.

Galaxy SHi Yano237,
Yes, using Favorites is an excellent way to ensure that specific contacts can bypass Do Not Disturb (DND) without relying on the potentially glitchy custom whitelist.
Add Contacts to Favorites: Open the Phone or Contacts app. Find the contact you want to whitelist. Tap the contact, then select the star icon. This marks them as a Favorite.
Modify DND Settings: Go to Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb. Tap Allow exceptions. Select Calls and messages from and choose Favorites only.
Test the Setup: Enable Do Not Disturb mode. Have one of your Favorite contacts call or text you to confirm the notification comes through.
Thank you.
