I have an S8 Plus from Koodo. Edge Lighting isn't working as expected. It seems to randomly work. During the day, Edge Lighting seems to work with the built in SMS messaging app. I do not get notifications for anything else, even though I have the edge lighting to notify on all applications. I have "Keep screen turned off" set to OFF. The weird thing, edge lighting appears to work as expected at night, after 7 PM. I've read on the US forums this may be a know issue. It's just really frustrating because this is a pretty cool feature. Anyways, looking for any suggestions. I even tried buying an app called "Edge Lighting" at the recommendation of another forum, but that was a waste of $3 because it doesn't work at all on my device.
I have a S7 and I know you already have done this but check your settings under display....edge and again you know it only works when you lay your phone screen down..
mine stopped working with the update about a month ago. I phoned Samsung and was told that they are no longer supporting the edge lighting feature. I have S7 edge
