Please PLEASE Samsung developers, PLEASE provide a way to leave a group text! I do not want to block it, as there are people on the group to whom I want to remain connected. I also do not want to have to try to figure out who created the group text to request removal. There is a way on iPhones to self-initiate an exit from a group text, so SAMSUNG, can you please provide similar functionality???
If you're using Google Messages as your default messaging app, you have the option to leave a group chat under certain conditions, provided the group is using RCS.
Open the Group Chat in Google Messages. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. Select Details or scroll to the bottom of the conversation.
Look for an option that says "Leave group" (this is only available if RCS is active and all participants are also using RCS-compatible messaging apps).
If you're using Samsung Messages, the option to leave a group chat isn’t currently supported due to the limitations of SMS/MMS. However, you can mute the conversation to stop notifications.
