front camera turns black

When I have a video call on WhatsApp, my phone's front camera turns black and I need to restart my device (Samsung S10+) to make it work again. Does anyone have the same issue? What should I do to fix it? Thank you for your input!

Hi Odlena, Is this issue only happening with Whatsapp? Please make sure the front camera is not blocked by anything during the call.

Thanks for the comment, it happens with WhatsApp and Telegram. and it's not blocked...

Hi, Please clear cache for your Camera application and check if the issue got resolved. Settings >> Apps >> 3 dot menu >> System apps >> Camera >> Storage >> Clear cache.

Also, please make sure that both the application are updated to the latest version.

As @Keagan mentioned, clearing cache for the app may help. Also if you've updated recently, wiping the cache partition can help too, see...

Alot of glitches in android can be solved by a simple restart.
So instead of me waiting to find out when something isn't working that requires a restart...

Go under settings and search
"auto restart"
I set mine to restart every night while I'm snoozing 🤙✌️
