Good day everyone, I have an 18 month old S21. Calls from a single contact are being blocked. I've read all (at least I think I have) related posts. Contact is not blocked. I've deleted and re-added contact. Same results. Turned off "Block spam and scam calls". Same results. This just started happening about a month ago. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had an issue with one business contact, but in my case the issue was Hiya, not my Carrier.

When I told my business contact that Hiya had them listed as a Spam call, they were REALLY, REALLY unhappy! They are a well known & legitimate business, so yeah, in my case Hiya was the problem.

Try this, Open your Dialer & Click on the 3 dot menu top right > Settings > Caller ID & Spam Protection & Click on it. Check to see if you have it set to Block ALL Spam calls or only High Risk Spam calls.

If it's set to Block All Spam calls, switch to High Risk calls only & test.

If you still can't receive calls from this Contact, try turning OFF Hiya Spam Protection & Test.

Apparently even if you he this individual in your Contacts, Hiya may still Block the calls.

It's more of a Hiya problem than a Samsung problem in this case.

Contact your cell provider to see if there might be a problem on their end.

I had a similar problem where some cell phones couldn't call me and landlines could and it was fixed after contacting my provider. Everyone was always able to text me and I was able to call anyone.

Hi, so u nailed it. I turned it off and now I can accept my aunt's call. So supplemental question, most likely not belonging in this thread BUT how does one get Hiya to remove her from their spam list. I still like that feature on the phone.

Here is the link to Hiya.

It's in the US, but they should be able to help you.
