I've had problems with my Galaxy s22. In the first year with all of the speakers in the first year. Restarting the phone would fix the problem. I noticed this would only happen when the phone was cold. I called my phone provider as I purchased it from them and samsung (both companies denied there was anything with the phone itself or the software) however they said send it in ( just to make money). I did some research and found out it was a software/internal glitch that samsung does not want admit to.Now that I've had it for more than two years., I've noticed since last week even restarting the phone doesn't help all the time.

Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it other than having to send it In?

What is the specific problem with the speakers.. ie: no sound, vibration, rattling, etc?

I really doubt that it's a software issue at all.

Much more likely to be a hardware issue, either defect or damage.

Have you run the Diagnostics through Samsung Members app for the speakers?

Hi bhawan,

It's unfortunate and we are sorry to hear that you've been dealing with an intermittent issue that might now be worsening over time.

If the issue only occurs in certain apps, try uninstalling/reinstalling those apps. Test sound output with different sources (e.g., ringtones, videos, music).

Also, as said by RedDogRabbit did you try to run the Diagnostics through Samsung Members app for the speakers?

Open the Samsung Members App: Tap on Support at the bottom. Select Diagnostics.

Perform a Speaker Test: Choose Speaker and follow the prompts. Listen for sound from both the top and bottom speakers.

If diagnostics confirm hardware issues, we would recommend seeking repair, especially if the phone’s internal speakers are non-functional.

Please get the device examined by the Samsung authorized service technician to get it fixed.

Thank you.

So I was speaking to some at samsung via chat and they said this Live Agent : Your phone's noise comes from a feature called Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It helps the camera take clearer pictures by reducing blurriness. The camera lens moves slightly to stay focused on objects, and sometimes makes a noise when it touches a part inside the phone called a "stopper." This is completely normal and doesn't mean your phone is broken.

Which in my opinion has nothing to my issue. How is the camera related to the speaker/media speakers? And if there one part hitting the so called "stopper" then there was a problem from the beginning yet I got no where. Now I'm forced to pay out of pocket through a samsung authorized repair dealer and that the repair is not guaranteed to fix the problem. The warranty for the repair is just 3 months. To diagnose alone is $35. Absolutely pathetic. I've been a long time samsung user and after this experience I will be switching to apple

Whatever, but I asked you what the specific problem was with your device's speakers, you didn't elaborate..

Obviously the person at Samsung didn't understand the question

Apparently there's a common issue with the S22 device, and it relates to air pressure (ie: getting off an aircraft), and, or cold temperature.

There's supposedly a fix?

Remove & Re-insert the SIM?

Thank you. Will try and give an update. Thank you for your help. Much more helpful than samsung technical support

I don't know for sure if this fix works, but let me know. I'm thinking the reason why this might work is by simply opening the SIM Tray, you are equalizing the air pressure and whether it's changed due to being on an aircraft, or pressure change due to temperature changes? 🤞🏻

I will try it and get back to you after a few days. See if it still does it in those conditions I mentioned

@reddograbbit after my last post the speakers in the same room temperature and much colder outdoor temperatures. I did have a random time the speakers started making same noise as before, however that went away after a simple restart. I did remove and re insert the sim card. Also worked fine for a few weeks after that. Once again yesterday while driving the phone got to the cooler side. When I made phone call the same issue came back. I restarted and went back to normal. I wish there was a permanent fix. Really annoying when I have to disconnect a call restart my phone and call the person back. Or ask them to text me instead
