"I have been a loyal supporter of Samsung phones for half a decade now, but today's events turned out to make a difference. My Galaxy S22 Ultra had two updates, and straight after that, the phone looked like a Star Wars fight scene with lots of different colored lines on the screen. I took it to a service center immediately, only to be surprised by the humongous bill to fix the screen. If it was my mistake, I would have had no issue fixing it with my own money, but this is different. We spend thousands of dollars on a flagship phone like this only to encounter issues after 2 or 3 years of usage. I don't understand why they provide 5 years of software support even though the device cannot handle updates for 2 to 3 years.

Totally disappointed with Samsung and their flagship devices."

Hi DoMsPacE,

We are very sorry to hear this issue from you on your device.

Is this issue started after the software update? Do you remember any physical damage happened to the device?

Looks like it was dropped...

My ancient Skyrocket still works.. only issue, a little screen burn-in.

Of course I don't use it anymore, but it still works.

Thats the funny thing. Never even droped or not even a splash of water. Each updates added more lines.

I'd suggest that you visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.

It's definitely not software updates causing the problem. Looks like a hardware issue for sure.

Took it already, since the device is out of warranty, they said they can do nothing other than replacing the display. I checked other countries and found out this is common to s22 series. So many people reported such issues, especially in India. They are fixing it for free in India now but not in North America. God knows Why not here !
