A superb Exynos processor

Samsung has made excellent progress on its super capable 2 nm Exynos 2600. According to the most recent reports, the Exynos 2600 is ready, and will debut with the Galaxy S26 series next year.

A privacy display

Samsung is apparently adding a privacy display in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Evidence from multiple sources points to the Galaxy S26 Ultra being able to hide the contents on its display from prying eyes.

Better photography in low light

The cameras on the S-series flagships have remained mostly similar in their ability to capture pictures for the last few generations. Samsung is apparently aiming to improve that next year with wider apertures on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Leaked Galaxy S26 Ultra designs show a protruding camera island on the rear of the phone. This, according to some sources, is so that the phone can include larger apertures. While the sensors will likely remain the same, they will be able to capture more light, hence improving photography in challenging lighting conditions.

Faster charging at last!

Samsung is reportedly ditching its current 45W of wired charging speeds in favor of 60W of wired charging speeds.

A better AI experience

AI on the Galaxy S26 will apparently be “user-centric”. In simpler terms, this hopefully means that the AI will be proactive in suggesting actions and tasks, instead of waiting for the user’s input. There might also be more cool AI features exclusive to the Galaxy flagships coming next year.

I don't know if ~5 months is "almost here"?

It may be more likely that North America will get Qualcomm's Snapdragon chip than the Exynos chipset.. which historically, has been the better of the two..

There's still LOTS of time for things to change, plus, from what I have seen, the S26 will be noticeably more expensive... but wait and see.

I think Samsung might be wanting to go with Exynos cos Samsung might want to go on the same road as Apple and Google Pixel with their own processors. Samsung for now has indicated a Feb launch for S26 but never know might do in Jan which leaves us with 3 month months. Btw did I say 5 months?

Interesting, so we are looking from anywhere from Jan to not sure when it gets released depending on Samsung skipping Exynos in favor of release or sticking with Exynos snd delaying the launch.

I think that January is a literal impossibility, February extremely unlikely, and March, maybe.

I'd be surprised if North America gets the Exynos chip... but as I said, time will tell.

Lets see what strategy will Samsung adopt? Hope for the best. Thought of upgrading to Pixel 10 and iPhone17 but decided to stay with Samsung and hoping for S26 to be worth upgrading to.
