I've paid Rm800+ for screen replacement at Samsung service centre to solve the pink line issue in April. Today, after updating my phone, it now appears green line!!!!!!!!! It's not yet 2 months, and the issue appears again after screen replacement. I have no words to express my disappointment, Samsung...
Fortunately, it does disappear a few hours after the update. I have no idea if it was a software/hardware issue, but it really makes me worry if the issue will come back since restarting and safe booting weren't solving the issue.
Can i know if we change the screen is there any warranty? If the issue happened again, does samsung covered the screen replacement in the warranty period?
I believed that samsung will never take the responsibility to provide free screen replacement to the affected model that had a green line issue. I wanted to change the screen but not sure if the issue happened again in near future, samsung warranty cover or not to replace the screen..
In my case, it does have 3 months warranty, but I'm not sure if the warranty covers everything (labour cost, etc.). Besides, I have heard some people were getting the issue again after a while because the screen issue is not a rare case, but quite a common one, especially certain models.
Hi, ive got the same problem and i just asked the samsung staff about this. They said, right now samsung have program to change the green line screen for RM90++ than RM700-RM800 (depends on your phone. Might be more than RM700 if you use latest Samsung). But you need to leave your phone at their store maybe around 1-2 week depends on availability stocks. If you dont want to leave your phone, you will pay original price RM700-RM800.
