Dear Samsung,

What is your take on numerous reports on green line (or worst, lines) issue after updating the phone's software.

This YouTube video (https://youtu.be/XeiA4Z3WJUo

?si=aQ0qOdFjA4kjc39t) tries to explain possible causes like overheating while updating Android version. What's your official take on this?

On this video (https://youtu.be/CYyKeLNSVDE

?si=NpPSpUe9Vw1kjX9s), you're offering this CRP (customer retention program) to those who can buy at least PHP10,000 worth of Samsung products to avail free replacement of the damaged LCDs. Are you intentionally doing this for us to buy more of your phones that will potentially suffer the same issue ? So we literally have to spend more in order to fix an issue which is not caused by us, customers?

We need a detailed explanation, Samsung.

Hey Donzzy,

Our CRP is a program for people who choose to stick with our products for their needs - it's not a ploy to get you to buy more, really - it's just us showing appreciation for your business.

Second: you may be under the impression that the green line in LCDs is something Samsung does intentionally - we can assure you that we don't. Devices may fail due to any number of factors, such as mishandling, accidental drops, or software issues.

That's why this needs to be addressed urgently regarding specifically during software updates. So what do you suggest us customers to do, find a fridge to minimize the phone's temperature while updating? What if we don't have a fridge available? There must be a way to prevent the issue. And it's your job to figure it out, right?

Customer Retention Program (CRP) as the name explicitly states, it's for continued retention of customers who want to continue buying Samsung device and they are given discounts or incentives like free repair. Isn't it nice to be get discounts or incentive if you want to buy more from a lny brand?

Greeen lines are also not exclusive to Samsung. Other big brands also have it. Personally I experience it on my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and to be honest it fixed itself up via OS update. It really varies from device whether it be a software or hardware problem.

More often than not, it's hardware related. Even iPhones experience it, too. And who makes iPhones' screens? 🤣
