I uninstalled Gear VR / Occulus services because :
1. it displayed a 'Gear VR or Occulus has crashed' every time I finished a phone call even if it wasn't running
2. it was using up huge amounts of battery (even if it wasn't running)
3. My S7 edge kept asking me if I wanted to disable it, saying it was slowing down my phone (even when it wasn't running)
I want to use my Gear VR headset again but don't want to install a buggy, crashing, battery-killing, resource hog that runs 24/7 in the background even if I don't start it.

Hi @mikle! For a temporary fix, anyone having issues with battery drain can uninstall updates to the Gear VR & Oculus services by following these instructions: https://support.oculus.com/968822933206930
I'll forward this issue to the Gear VR team!
