hello, at Christmas time a put a theme on my s9. it left Christmas symbols .

Put Christmas theme on s9. Now got rid of theme but they left Christmas symbols on my buttons.cant remove.

Can you post a screenshot of your issue?

You can try applying a new theme, should restore the buttons for you.
