Try to re-add your fingerprints as that should fix the issue, if you have a screen protector then might have to increase touch sensitivity.

Hi,

The Galaxy A15 doesn’t have an in-screen fingerprint sensor, so pressing your thumb on the display won’t unlock it. The fingerprint reader is actually built into the side key (power button).

Here’s what you can try:

1. Check fingerprint unlock settings: Go to Settings → Security and privacy → Biometrics → Fingerprints. Enter your PIN/Pattern/Password. Make sure Fingerprint unlock is turned ON.

2. Re-register your fingerprint: In the Fingerprints menu, delete your saved fingerprints. Tap Add fingerprint and place your thumb on the side key sensor, adjusting the angle each time so it captures the full print. For better accuracy, you can register the same finger twice.

3. Unlock the right way: Press the side key to wake the phone. Place your registered finger flat on the side key not the screen and hold until it unlocks.

If it still doesn’t work after re-adding, make sure the side button is clean, your finger is dry, and your phone is up to date.

Thank you.
