Text messages can be backed up to Samsung cloud, and for some reason my phone seems to do that automatically so maybe yours does too. Go to "accounts and backup" in your settings, press "Samsung cloud", and then it should say when your last backup was. If it was recent, you can restore your chats by hitting restore and selecting chat history.
As suggested by @JohnH, If you had backed up the Messages app using the Samsung cloud, then you would have been able to restore the deleted messages from it.
