How do I go about this error? I'm using an NVMe SSD connected via Type C. First plug was fine, then I transferred a 3GB file and thing stopped at 70%, crashed then never recognized the drive again.

Even after multiple formats, different cables and even a different S23 entirely. My S8 doesn't throw this error and my PC recognizes the drive just fine.

It seems as if Samsung is too conservative on power usage by OTG devices. If any of you have any solutions, please let me know.

Hey goldillux,

I'm not an engineer but I do think a USB-C port is more than capable of powering an NVMe - have you considered swapping out OTGs? Are you using a C-to-A dongle, or is it a direct C-to-C connection with the drive?

Thanks for the response.

I was using a C2C cable when it worked the first time. Still was using the cable when it stopped working. An update though, it doesn't throw the high power error when I turned off light performance mode but the drive isn't read at all.

An A2C OTG adapter is on the way, though.

Hello everything is fine? Managed to solve? I have the same problem. I use a 1TB USB C pendrive, it was working normally for 3 days and I started having this problem, I don't know what to do anymore.
