Hi I have a new s24+ that is having an issue with artifacts or little black squares in images like screen shots or even just when scrolling through Facebook or other apps.  I have attached an image of what it looks like. I have no idea where to go other than if it is an issue with the phone it self. Thank you

Hi Branda535,

We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Please try the suggestions by RedDogRabbit by Booting into Safe mode, Perform Wipe cache partition.

If you wipe your cache partition, it removes any temporary files that may be causing issues with your device.

1. Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off.

2. When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together.

3. Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen.

4. Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it.

5. Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation.

6. After that select Reboot system now with the Power key."

To enter Safe mode Power on your phone in Safe Mode - Completely turn off your phone. - Turn on your phone and press the Volume Down button when the Samsung logo appears. - If "Safe Mode" shows up, you're successful. If not, try again. Uninstall the problematic app. Restart your phone to exit Safe Mode.

If nothing works, as a last resort please perform Back up and Factory data reset before visiting Samsung Authorized service center by the link given above. Please back up important data before performing factory reset.

I'm sure that you have tried a simple Reboot..

You could try Booting into Safe Mode & see if the issue is still present?

You could send an error report to Samsung through the Samsung Members app.. Click on Support & Scroll down to "Send Error Report".

I doubt that Booting into Recovery & Wiping Cache will do anything, but you can try.

Before visiting a Samsung Service Centre, if it would be me, I would definitely try a Factory Reset.

If you still have the same problem..

Backup your device with Smart Switch and visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.

Hello I did the clear cashe and tried to take a screen shot again and scroll through the apps that I normally get the issue in. It does not do it anymore and seems to have resolved it self now. Thank you for the help 😊

Nevermind it started acting up again and is now back to having the blocks in images just like before.

Yeah, like I said.. I doubted that Clearing Cache would do anything for the issue.

A Factory Reset.. MAY fix it.. if it's a software problem, but it might be a hardware issue?

As I suggested, if it were my device, I'd Backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.

But I think that you might need to visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech. 🤞🏻

Hi Branda535,

That's really sad to hear! Since you have already tried performing clear cache but the issue still  persists, as a last resort please back up your data and perform factory data reset by following the steps in the above links and see if it helps to solve the issue.

Thank you.
