I just got a new Samsung S20 FE and tried to customize ringtones for some of my contacts.  I clicked on individual contacts, then edit, then View More but the individual contacts don't have a Ringtones tab.
Any ideas why, or how I can get it?

Hi Penner, if you open My File app → internal storage

Do you have Ringtone folder?

Also, try clear cache for Contacts app.
Settings → Apps → Contacts → Storage

Clear data and clear cache
* This will delete the app settings and app cache.

Hi, I cleared the app cache but if I clear the data will I lose my contact info? A pop-up says all data will be permanently deleted

As my understanding, no. Your contacts will not remove. According to Samsung definition:

Important: Clearing the data will reset the app to factory default settings. Any personal settings saved on the app will be removed.

Clearing the app cache is kind of like a cleanse for your apps. It will get rid of residual files that could be slowing down the app.

If you want to be sure, please do a back up before you proceed.

You can go to Settings -> Accounts and backup

Under Samsung Cloud , click backup data. If anything goes wrong, you still able to restore the contacts.

Hi, I cleared the data and cache and still no tab to be able to personalize a ringtone.
Any other thoughts?
Could it be a defect in the phone?

If you go to Settings → Apps → Contacts → Permission

Do you have Files and media under Permission?
