Is S22 ultra battery worse than s21 ultra!

Based on reviewers !! S22 ultra battery life can't even  match s21 ultra?? In one review I saw it worse than s22 base model... Is this true? Can Samsung pull off with Software update?

It is if you go for the base 8gb ram version but since they are presently offering the 256/12 gb ram version at the same price, not really a downgrade.

The downgrade is basically for the 128gb or 512gb and up.

S22 Ultra 128gb had 8gb of ram but S21 had 12gb

S22 Ultra 512gb has also 12gb of ram while the S21 Ultra had 16gb.

I found that these tests are not accurate. One video shows that iPhone 13 last 10+ hours, but another video iPhone 13 just 10 minutes more that S22 Ultra. What a huge different. It all depends on how you use the phone.

Unless im wrong, those videos are all with the Exynos version which in the past , have performed worst than the Snapdragon version.

It is not recommended to take seriously all these videos yet because the phones are still also in the pre-release phase. So there might be some updates coming soon.

Also, we've all learned that the Samsung phones when you just got it, need a few days to adjust and learn your battery usage pattern.

We don't know how long any of these reviewers had their phones for... therefore, the batteries probably aren't optimized to their usage yet.

So take these video reviews as informative only and with a grain of salt.

Most of those videos are exynos but speaking frankly iphone would be better in battery life regardless. iphone owns their chip and OS. so definitely it is going to be better optimized.But again you get fast charging to compensate for that.

This all drain test are useless who do video rendering on the phone besides professionals ? who use phone such a way without resting it? so it is going to be varied based on the usage patterns.


Samsung is still running pre released software on these phone so there is going to be major update once it comes to the market.If you are buying phone solely based on battery life go for iphone but if you want fast charging, all camera perks, better screen, spen and all the customizations then go for 22 ultra.

See, my point is it's worse than s21 ultra and s21 ultra was also on Exynos on these tests... As Samsung already changed for ltpo refresh rate for Samsung s22 and s22+ .. are they just doing gimmick or seriously they improved from s21

Hey s22 utra is not even in market as i told you it is running on pre optimized software right now. give it a time. don't let this test influence you.

same here. I am going to give it try. Hopefully Snapdragon will be better. I was not expecting much from exynos anyways.
