Go to Settings > Apps Search for your Keyboard & scroll down to Storage & Clear Cache & Data for the app. Reboot and test.

Galaxy SIt's possible, but I think that it's unlikely to occur again in the near future.
Sometimes apps get the hiccups too 😂
Anyway, it's a simple fix 👍🏻
