Galaxy SSide Q, I got some of those android boxes kicking around, should I root with chainfire or magisk? I've done both but curious what you all think 🤷

Galaxy STo see it lying on your desk at shallow angle - aod must be at max brightness. I had the 'text strip along the long edge' style - most minimalist - and my battery use has tripled. Not exaggerating. Disabled aod entirely - battery use back to usual. So it's a trade off.
Wish samsung at least implemented an out of the box solution that is battery efficient and aod-independent - camera can flash the punch hole on its own... why not notifications?
I mean - they have means for the solution... it's been almost a year since note10 release... I don't understand how did noone over there has thought of this... especially with (inefficient) third party solutions being in demand... frigging frustrating man...
Couldn't care less about headphone jacks... but would love to not have to neurotically tap screen every half hour or risk missing calls/etc.
As of now, seems like a trade off situation - notifications or battery life, significant chunk in my case.
Other than battery drain, LED me know works great, no root required.
