Just now, I have watched a YouTube video, saying that some major updates are coming to Galaxy S24U regarding the screen vividness and camera. But sadly, still no change on some things; AOD, Samsung's built-in video player and battery protection modules, for example.

First of all, the AOD. Although the AOD is not moving at all which might affect the pixel screen durability, it is also not customisable like the previous versions of One UI. I want the ability to personalise my AOD. Getting a different AOD clock style versus my lock screen lock style, really feels great to me.

Secondly, for the video player, the video played using Samsung's built-in video player (not YouTube app) doesn't seem to stretch the video until the camera cutout. In my opinion, Samsung should let the video be stretched until the camera cutout, because what's the point of having big screen and futuristic smaller camera cutout if it is not utilised? I don't know anyone else but for me, I like the camera cutout appears while watching videos. Despite that, it doesn't interfere with my video at all and I really like it because I feel like the screen has been utilised to the fullest.

Lastly, as for the battery protection module, I don't know anyone else who has noticed this issue or not, but as far as my observation, I think the battery protection module is not working well at all. Actually, it does work for the first few days of using this S24U, but after 2 weeks of using it, it doesn't seem to work well. I feel like there's some sort of bugs or something. For example, I set my battery protection to 'basic'. For 'basic' battery protection, my S24U should stop accepting charging when the battery capacity reaches 100% and start charging again when it drops to 95%. But in this case, the phone still charges even though the battery has reached 100% and doesn't drop at all, even to 99% (both cases; either when the charger is still plugged in when it reaches 100% or if I unplug it and plug it in again).

Therefore, representing the voice of S24U users, I hope Samsung includes a fix to this issue in the next update. I wish to use this phone to the fullest, and right now I am very disappointed with this latest version of One UI 6.1, and I stop feeling the S24U hype is these issues prolonged.

Yes, same issues here. Washed out colour, palm gesture screen capture hardly works, AOD screen saver not working... greatly disappointed indeed.

About the video not fully displayed, go to Settings > Display > Camera cutout.
Depending on which app you use (I'm assuming an Internet browser), tap on it and choose "Show camera cutout". It will show the video fully on the display when filled in (like on the 2nd pic). Hope this helps.20240217_234016_1000121585_1708184417.pngScreenshot_20240217_234340_Samsung Internet_1000121587_1708184623.png
