My boyfriend just noticed this in settings and his was set to "on" so I checked mine and the same thing! When did this option become part of settings? If someone was connected to our devices through it would it show what device was connected and controlling our phones? We have both been experiencing some odd things on our phones lately..... He has the S21 and I have the S22...

You know that you can just Toggle it OFF.

It's available on my S20 Ultra as well.

I don't think it is anything that anybody can exploit but is kind of strange that it is toggled on in our devices.

I have never noticed that setting till I searched for it after this post

Lol yes, which I've done, I've just never heard of the setting and it was odd that it was on. We've had issues with our neighbors for years 🤷‍♀️

The Multi-control rely on Samsung account. So it is a feature that work between phone and Samsung laptop. Unless your samsung account got hacked, otherwise is fine. But turn it off for good if you have no Galaxy laptop.

Okay thank you. So it's nothing for hackers or awful neighbors to use to access someone's device then? If one had been hacked in the past, could this be an open door for the hacker to continue to gain access? Yes I realize how paranoid im seeming right now lol.

Yes, that is correct. You need Samsung account to link 2 devices together. And this feature let you use mouse and keyboard from Galaxy book to work on your phone. Also required same WiFi network and bluetooth enable. It is like Galaxy book screen expansion.

I just saw this function on my phone as well. It was in the ON position.  I also just read there isn't any timestamps or meta data available about what tablets or devices were using this Multi Control.  If this function was used on my phone it's an invasion of privacy. It doesn't ease my mind that you have to have a Samsung account.  I'm assuming anyone who has a Samsung phone has a Samsung account.  Good people and bad people.  There has to be something logged that shows the tablet linked or something.  If there isn't, Samsung is going to have problems
