Music issue

I just got a new S22 phone and it will not play imported music not sure what to do.

Try open My File app. Go to internal storage -> Music folder

Do you see your imported music files? Are they in mp3 file format? If you click on the music file, will it plays?

Hi, did you observe any error message while trying to play the music.

Are you able to see them? 

You could try clearing the apps cache in Settings >> Apps >> Samsung Music >> Storage >> Clear Cache.

If that doesn't work, please download any third party app from play store and convert the music into that format.

I have a similar problem. Upgraded from a S9+ TO A S23U. Transfer all my music files via Smart Switch. All songs played on my S9+. Now alot are being skipped.
