I think you just have to change your background on your phone. If your background has red colours it will create a colour palette that will have shades of pink tones. You can change it to any colour, for me it's currently green.
You can also turn it off complete by going into wallpaper and style and changing the palette to the default style (it's blue, white and black)
New update is awesome you just need to understand it's pulling the colour combination from your home screen photo. You can go into your display settings and change the combination used or just turn the feature off like what was mentioned.
