Noticeable lag after updating to oneui 4.0

Hi, my s21+ has been laggy ever since I updated to the latest version. The lag will happen when I switch between apps, pulling down the notification panel and when playing games.

Many of us experience same issue... Maybe samsung should release the next software update (BUKG ver) asap? BUKG update fixes quite alot of bug...

Hi Faiz, thanks for the reply. Actually I think we just need the software update that is being released in Korea and US now. That update seem to fix the lag issue caused by the random 120Hz dropping to 60Hz. Will we be able to get that update any time soon? Thank you.

Hi guys!

In order to get rid of lags and everything after the OTA update(installed through adb) including app residues when going home cause by some app permissions, just make sure you update all your apps through Good Guardians(formerly known as Galaxy Labs). Once you finish this step you should be good to go. If you were to install the Android 12 through normal procedure, by going to software update, then it will do this automatically so this time you have to do it manually through Good Guardians, Galaxy App Booster. Give it a shot!

Unfortunately, good guardians isnt available for install. Imo, they should really just give us the update that fix the oneui 4 bug.

I have this problem too and it's random but very noticeable. Using s21 ultra Exynos, latest patch in Jan 2022. I believe the refresh rate isnt the culprit because dev options refresh rate still shows the correct number. The lag disappears when I launch a game, so maybe the processor goes down to slower speed when screen is off, then gets stuck at this slow speed when screen turns on because there's no demanding application to trigger the processor to switch back to normal.
