I just recently purchased a Samsung S20FE & cannot get notifications working consistently. My main concern is text messaging where I've always set up a specific imported sound associated to any new messages.
My first issue is that it won't always consistently ring a notification sound, whether it's one I've set up or not.
The 2nd issue is it has never repeated the notification as I've configured in the settings. I wd expect the sound to repeat at the intervals I've configured (3 mins in my case) if I haven't opened the new msg right away! This is the case w all other apps as well. This feature just doesn't work.
My previous phones hv always been very easy to set up in this way, but as other members seem to hv noted in this blog, Samsung appears to hv screwed this feature up!
Does anyone know what might be the issue here? This was happening before & after the latest UI update to Android 11.

Hi there, thx for your quick replies on this. Although it seems to be working better after the reset, it's still a little quirky. It did finally start to repeat the notification sound if left unanswered, but not on all msgs. Other issues hv since cropped up. For example, scheduling a reply did not work on a few text msgs where it was workg fine before. I'll give it another day or 2 to see if the issues clear up and will post back again.
I am not using S20FE, but my Note20U all working fine. In your case, I do recommend you do a full backup using SmartSwitch, then factory reset your phone. I end up factory reset my 2 phones after UI3 updates. Now both phones work fine.
Looks like the wipe cache reset has resolved the problem w notifications & reminder repeats. All is working well now. Thx again Tallman & Cassidy for yr help on this 🙂
