Samsung finally upgraded the xsa (Australia) repo. Thank you for catching up to your colleagues Samsung.
Initial thoughts:
Annoyance level 2/5. The default icons picks a different colour palette for the blended icons than previous build. Lock screen as well. Had to redesign that. I change the looks every now and then so not that big of a deal.
I really like a simple scrollable alphabetical app drawer and the easy to reach search. Will likely keep using stock launcher. Little flair changes like the charging animation. The lock screen redesign with the music bar - beautiful.
Annoyance level 4/5. Power button now is an ai button. We had a swipe gesture already. This means Samsung is confident that phone will not freeze 😄 .the sacrifice seems to be- make ai easier for normal users. But teach them how to hard reset using multiple buttons. Wot
Still testing battery charge level. I like the battery protection level to 90% and the gaming pd charge limit option in gaming booster sub menu. I really hope I don't have the battery issues like I have been seeing.
Finally can switch between the two notification panel and control. Been removing notifications by mistake till now. My other devices had this already.
Annoyance level 5/5. Why on earth did it reset adaptive refresh rate (motion smoothness) for the screen? Initial impression when landed in the home screen was messed up icons and a slower phone. Easy fix but my first thought was it bothched the update? do in need to factory reset or even firmware flash? Recommendation, if you are going to reapply UI elements, do it completely or nothing. But I might be a fringe case based on my theme config.
The goods: app data retained so don't want to factory reset unless other issue occurs. Good lock features now built in. So less overhead may be 🤞🏾
