Hello may-s. I am Pradeep from Samsung.

We're sorry for the experience with your Samsung Galaxy S22+. Can we trouble you to perform the following troubleshooting steps?

Step 1: Activate Safe Mode

“Safe Mode” will boots up the phone with factory settings, while temporarily disabling all the third-party applications. This helps us to understand whether the issue is caused due to any application conflict or a software problem.

Note: When you exit “Safe Mode” some of your customization options (Wallpapers, Themes, Etc.) may be reset to default. If you use the Fingerprint security feature on a device running Marshmallow (Android 6.X) the device will require your backup password to unlock the phone after rebooting.

To enable safe mode, please follow the steps below:
1. Power off the phone.
2. Power on the phone. The Galaxy logo displays.
3. When the Samsung logo appears press and holds the volume down button.
4. 'Safe Mode' displays on the bottom left-hand side of the screen when the steps above are done correctly.

Verify whether the issue is resolved in the safe mode. If the issue is not replicated in safe mode, it may be due to the 3rd party application; it can be resolved by uninstalling the application(s) causing the problem by going to Apps>> Settings>> Applications>> uninstall the app one by one and check which app is causing the issue.

5. To exit Safe Mode, simply restart the phone. When it reboots, it will no longer be in Safe Mode.

Step 2: Kindly proceed to setting -> Device Maintenance -> Optimize All / clean all / fix now. This action will not delete the device data.

Step 3: Go to setting -> apps -> Camera -> Storage -> Clear cache only -> back then select force stop.

Step 4: Open the camera apps -> Tap Setting -> Reset Setting.

Step 5: Software Update
Do check for the system software updates as well. You may find it from the setting -> Software update -> Download update manually. Please ensure the device is connected with a stable internet connection and the battery is above 50%.

Step 6: Factory reset.
We do realize that you're apprehensive about resetting the phone. However, rest assured that you can back up the phone's data before the reset so that you wouldn't have to lose any data. Once the reset is complete, the data can be restored.

Important: A Factory Data Reset will remove ALL user data, including downloaded applications, documents, calendar entries, contacts, pictures, and music.

You can back up the phone's data through Samsung Smart Switch. Please follow the instructions below to backup your phone's data.

Download and install Smart Switch Software on PC or Mac by following the web-links mentioned below.

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/smart-switch

a) Connect your phone to a PC or Mac with a USB cable.
b) Launch Smart Switch on your PC or Mac.
c) On the Smart Switch screen, click MORE.
d) Click Preferences, then select the Backup items tab.
e) Select the content types you would like to backup, then click OK.
f) Click Backup on the main Smart Switch screen. It may take several minutes for the backup to be completed.

2. Now, to perform the factory reset, please refer to the instructions below:
a) From a home screen Tap Apps.
b) Tap Settings.
c) Tap on General Information.
d) Tap on Reset then Factory data reset. Then follow the instruction given.

After performing a factory reset, please set up the phone and check if the issue persists before you restore the data to your phone.

However, if he issue persist. May we invite you to book an appointment at our service centre - https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/where-to-find-samsung-service-centre-in-singapore/ where our service engineer will assess your device and advise you accordingly.

Thank you.
