I was normally browsing thru FB then out of nowhere a pink line gradually developed on my phone screen. It disappears when I lock and unlock my phone but it comes back after a few minutes until I decided to restart my phone, the pink line became permanent.

Contacted Samsung's live chat support but never got connected to any agent for more than an hour so I gave up and called their phone support but as usual, im being referred to nearest service center.

I've done most troubleshooting like safe mode to eliminate the possibility of 3rd party apps causing it. Tried pressing corners of screen to see if there's some loose connection and tried pixel fixer apps but none of these worked.

Phone is on mint condition as I've bought expensive phone case and screen protector for this. The phone only fell once and that was only knee length and it happened a year ago. If they claimed that this could be the reason then I'd say their quality claims are nothing but a fluke. Phone got wet only on spray level and i don't think this is a reason since it's supposed IP68 and that happened last year.

So I did bring the unit to nearest service center and told the staff about my issue, but they never bothered to look at my phone nor offered to have it checked by a technician, not even a second glance. I was instantly slammed shut and told me to have the screen replaced and how much it would cost and that's just utterly disrespectful. Said the free repair offer for software issues is already offer but what about for some of us who encountered the issue after the said free repair offer or those who decided to install the update on later dates like me? Given that they offered free repair is enough to say that they have acknowledged that there has been ongoing issues on units after the said update and how they instantly assumed screen replacement for my issue is enough evidence that there's a lot of us who had this issue and paying for an issue that is out of customer's jurisdiction is just bullcrap. This is basically a method of scamming your customers like saying, "hey, download this virus that would fck up your phone. Have it then repaired then pay for it."

Been going in circles with their email support already. Kept on telling me to go to their repair center after telling them that I've been there already and i was instantly being asked to pay for the repair and it is not even cheap and i refuse to pay for anything, for something i did not cause.

The brand is making me lose my trust. Knowing how most of their units are experiencing the same issue overtime even with their previous models upon checking the forums. Starting to think that this could be one of their ploys and some are just unlucky victims like me. Shouldn't have installed the update.

I don't know anymore.

UPDATE: THEY CLOSED MY TICKET WITHOUT GIVING ME PROPER RESOLUTION. LEFT ME ON THE EDGE. AND NOW ANOTHER FAINT PINK LINE STARTED APPEARING.

I'm a fan of software updates since then. But I just noticed that even in my Samsung A52s 5G phone the new updates brings bugs and errors. It makes my phone miserable and worst. Tried submitting reports and diagnostic data but however it is just ignored by Samsung.

So yeah I've already had enough of this **bleep** and won't update my phone unless I'll start to hear good feedbacks. The problems started when I updated to Android 12..

The worst part is on my phone model.. they made the camera look bad on Android 12 update.. How'd I wish I stayed in Android 11

Checked forums and it's common denominator that the issue started after the android 12 update.

I think you can find something on YouTube of tutorials downgrading from android 12 to 11 , via pc + adb , but if i remember it right , it's possible system data and cache clear will automatically effect too so be prepared.

No updates. Samsung still keeps on insisting to go to their service centers which im becoming tired of. Might entertain it one last time.
