Galaxy SHi McSquire,
Just to be sure:
- Are you connected to multiple Bluetooth devices at all times?
- Have you installed a software update recently?
- Are any of your background apps kept open?
- Are you actively sharing your location via Google Maps / other location sharing software?
All of these may contribute to significant resource draw, making your processor work extra hard (and heat up extra fast, too.) Another factor can also be the hot climate, especially lately with El Niño really bearing down on us 🤣
Honestly though, I would be concerned as well if my phone were hot to the touch. Since your device is fairly new, it should still be considered for manufactuer's warranty if it ends up being a factory defect. Please bring your device to your nearest Samsung Service Center for diagnosis. Best case, they find what's causing the overheating and fix the problem - worst case, you wait for a bit for a repair!
Let us know what you choose to do, McSquire!
