S Pen Touch Sensitivity Issues on the S24 Ultra? I Might Know a Possible Fix!

Does your S Pen have pressure sensitivity issues when using it on the top-right and/or bottom part of your S24 Ultra's screen?

Because I do! (And I just bought my S24 Ultra, too.) 😅

This might not be a big deal to some users, but for avid note-takers and digital artists who enjoy making sketches (like me, though it's just a hobby), this problem must be killing you. 😅

In this image, I tested my S Pen's on-screen input with minimal pressure applied. The black marks are good, the blue ones were double-checked and passed my sensitivity testing, and the red ones have issues (they required more pressure to work).

So, what seems to be the problem?

Well, not all S24 Ultra users encounter this issue. After some research, I have reached two possible conclusions:

1.) The S Pen might be faulty.
2.) The problem possibly lies within the phone's model/variant.
》》Users with the SM-S928U (U-Model / US Variant) don't seem to encounter this problem.
》》Meanwhile, users with the SM-S928B (B-Model / International Variant, like mine 😅) are experiencing this issue.

So, is there a fix?

I can't say I have the perfect solution, but I did manage to find a compromise.

You see, I have a Samsung Tab A with S Pen (from 2015). Since Samsung devices these days can use multiple S Pens, I tried using my Tab A's S Pen with my S24 Ultra, and it works perfectly (weirdly enough, since it's an old model 😆)! The issues were gone, and I can draw and write smoothly with it. So I decided that for minor or on-the-spot note-taking, I'll use the main S Pen, and for drawing, I'll use my Tab A's S Pen.

With that in mind, here are some possible ways to fix it (I guess):

1.) If you have an old Samsung device with an S Pen, try using it. It might work wonders, like mine did! 😆
2.) Buy a stylus with Wacom EMR technology, like one from LAMY. I'm planning to buy one in the future, specifically the one with the 0.7mm round nib (which matches my Tab A's S Pen that works so well). However, before buying, try going to a Samsung store and do a subtle test with some of their S Pens on display 😅. If the issue still persists with a different S Pen, then buying a separate stylus might not work.
3.) Replace your S Pen (NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS IT REALLY NEEDS REPLACEMENT). This is a hit-or-miss solution.
4.) Take it to a Samsung Service Center. 🤸‍♂️
5.) Get used to it. Just apply more pressure in those specific areas while using the S Pen. 😅

OF COURSE, I MIGHT BE WRONG.... ahaha.... 😅
