S20+ green screen

Hi there, I noticed my S20+ started flickering a few days back, and yesterday, the whole screen turned green and white all of a sudden. There have been many cases of the issue since the latest update from many countries, especially right after their warranty is over. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdAlJF_-w4Q&t=2s)

I've just sent my phone to the service centre and was informed that they will escalate the issue to the HQ, and if they decide that it will not be covered by warranty, I'll have to pay nearly $400 to get a replacement screen and also my phone have the IP68 water resistance.

Is anyone else facing the same issue here? And can Samsung waive the repair charges, since it seems to be a problem too widespread at the same time to be coincidental?

hi I was affected by this issue as well. went yo the Samsung store and got a new s20ultra device. my question is should I update my new device (July 2021 update). I'm afraid by updating this issue may occur

Exact same issue for s20+ Malaysia SME set, send to Samsung service center in Malaysia charge RM950 for screen replacement. Not sure how reliable the screen after repair for this well known issue if Samsung doesn't aware of this and provide with remediation plan for this common screen problem on s20 devices.

My 3.5 month old  galaxy s20 also did that. And yes the warranty is voided. I commented on this thread earlier. Next time it breaks down I'll buy Google pixel. Goodbye to samsung

So many having this same issue. Samsung wake up! I wont be getting samsung phones again. Been loyal but i got myself an iphone 13

Affected by 3 vertical lines on my screen since December 2021. Did anyone managed to fix the lines without having to replace the screen? This is a bad defect after having owned the phone for less than 1.5years
