Galaxy SHello Lei0303,
Thanks for reaching out to us as we value your comments and Samsung is committed to providing the best possible mobile experience to our customers.
In response to your inquiry, please ensure the following in order to optimize your device's security with Biometrics Fingerprint features.
1) Samsung device is up-to-date with the latest Software updates.
Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Download, if available > Install > Follow On-Screen Instructions.
2) Remove a fingerprint from your Samsung Device.
Step 1. From Settings, tap Biometrics and security, and then tap Fingerprints.
Step 2. Next, enter your security credentials and then tap the fingerprint you want to delete.
Step 3. Tap Remove and then tap Remove again to confirm.
3) Set up and use the Fingerprint sensor.
Step 1. Navigate to Settings, tap Biometrics and security, and then tap Fingerprints.
Step 2. Enter your lock screen credentials. If you do not have a screen lock set up, you may be prompted to create one at this point. When you're ready, read the information, and then tap Continue.
Step 3. Use the on-screen prompts to register your fingerprint. When registering your fingerprint, make sure to fully cover the fingerprint sensor with your finger to prevent strong light from entering the fingerprint sensor. When you're finished, tap Done.
Step 4. Next, make sure that the switch next to Fingerprint unlock is turned on.
To unlock your phone using your finger, tap the screen or press the Power key or Side key. Then, place the registered finger on the fingerprint scanner, wherever it's located. The phone will automatically unlock, if it recognizes your fingerprint.
4) Add Fingerprints.
It may be more natural to use a different fingerprint to unlock your phone if you're holding it in another hand, or orientation. Thankfully, you can add multiple fingerprints so you can unlock your phone however you hold it.
Step 1. From Settings, tap Biometrics and security, and then tap Fingerprints.
Step 2. Enter your secure screen lock credentials and then tap Add fingerprint.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the fingerprint, and then tap Done.
5) You may submit an error through Samsung Members apps.
Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and Tap Error reports.
Step 2.Tap OK on agreement popup for sending system log data.
Step 3. Select Symptom category. Tap "Application".
Step 4. Describe problem in detail and SEND.
6) For more assistance, you may contact us on our online Samsung support channels below.
