The recently released S20 software update is still unable to address high battery drain and high thermal heat from Exynos 990 under normal processor load.

My educated conclusion is that no amount of software tweak can fix an inferior and cheap hardware like Exynos 990. Otherwise Galaxy Note won't come with a brand new Exynos 992 chip.

So to all Samsung flagship supporters that bought S20 with good money and faith; we were screwed big time by Samsung ....which till today Samsung still refuses to admit and take any action to resolve the matter.

Irate S20 Plus owner.

The yield rate of the exynos chipset production lower than 80%. most of the exynos chipset unable to reach their performance when compared with TMSC(Taiwanese manufacturer who produce snapdragon to Qualcomm). Recently Samsung had ordered 8 set of extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) equipments and trying to catch up the gaps between TMSC. Them trying to compete on 5nm and 3nm chipset.

For software team, working up the stable version patch now. Hope can get it soon in May.

I am talking about relative performance of my S20 flagship phone with Exynos 990 7nm chip vis-a-vis S20 with Snapdragon 865 7nm chip for US, Korean and China markets.

Not sure what is your motivation for scoring brownie points from Samsung. Did you part with your own money on an S20 Exynos 990 to be relevant in this discussion ?

Go into setting, choose privacy, then choose permission manager.

Go under location, change those apps listed as ALLOWED ALL THE TIME to ALLOWED ONLY WHILE IN USE

But the following apps must keep as ALLOWED ALL THE TIME:

- Google

- Maps

- SmartThings

- System UI

- Gallery

- your wearables devices apps such as mi fit, google fit, samsung health or any other brand
