any fix on how to activate edge lighting? seems to not work on my phone.

You can install this app from Playstore. It worked perfectly for me.
You should also install the EdgeLighting+ from GoodLock so you can also configure that notifications light up around the punch hole camera instead of the edge.

By the way, this is now fixed on One UI 3.0 with Android 11. 😁

try to do safe mode
then under safe mode go to settings>display> edge panel> brief pop-up> brief pop-up settings >edge lighting style
