HELP I have a S20 plus, I got in September. Started off loving the phone and then it started acting weird. All my reminders from Samsung calendar and Google calendar come in late, some text messages come in late, Google Play store won't download new apps just keeps going around saying pending , when I pull the notifications down from the top and hit one of the like NEST app, it won't open that app until way later, there are a few other issues. Originally I called Samsung they told me to do a few things and then I ended up doing a total factory reset, tried every suggestion online (all battery optimization etc) but I ended up sending it away to Samsung. Got the phone back it worked wonderfully for 2-3 days and now it's started doing it again. Doesn't make any sense to me. Is it some setting I turned on, an app causing issues. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I see send it away again? Why would it have worked so well initially and now not again. Any suggestions?  😡

What you're describing sounds like a network connectivity issue. Do you have a solid WiFi or Data connection?

Everything you described could be attributed to an inconsistent connection.

Just wanna add my 2 cents 🙃👈...
Alot of issues I have with android are fixed with a simple restart!
This may not be your issue...
but
if you go into settings and search "auto restart" and turn it on 👍 it Might help 🤷
I have mine set for when I'm having my daily naps 😴

  • It really does sound like a network connectivity issue to me.
  • Reminders arriving whenever.
  • Play Store spinning on "pending".
  • The delayed response lines up perfectly with a network connection that is spotty & when the network is connected, that's when notifications, messages etc appear.

That make sense. Since Samsung support had her factory reset the phone already. Sounds like connectivity problem.

It doesn't seem to matter if I'm in wifi or data. My wifi is strong and good and my location has good mobile reception too. My husband has the exact same phone, we got at the same time and his phone he works great. Why doesn't mine?

I agree with you! @RedDogRabbit 😁
But the auto restart is a good tip too, bc I personally get alot of glitches if I don't do this though 🙃👈

(Iknow you helped, I'm joking, kinda 🤣)

OK so y'all think it's a connectivity issue so how do we figure this out...

Its either...
Bad
-data
-home internet
-home internet connectivity (WiFi)
-transmitter in the device

Could always try resetting network connections, but we don't know her location (maybe a log cabin in the Great White North)?

Maybe in a bomb shelter 300' underground?

Maybe an ancient router?

It's anybodies guess at the moment.

I've reset network connections and my location is good for cell service. Router isn't old it's a blue curve gateway through Shaw. Husband has same phone and it works fine
