Since upgrading to Android 12 and One UI 4, I have experienced frequent issues with the touchscreen.

The homescreen and apps are unresponsive and do not register touches however, the power menu and quick settings/notification panels are responsive.

The issue remains until the phone is restarted.

After we waited so long for this update it's really annoying to be having issues like this.

Hey BS13! When does this generally occur and how often?

It is possible that a third party application may be affecting your device's functionality. I'd suggest uninstalling any unused apps then monitor. Should the issue continue, it is worth booting your phone into Safe mode and monitor.

Hold power > restart > hold volume down until lock screen shows ‘Safe mode’

You can tell if you are in Safe Mode as it will be written in the bottom left corner of the screen. If you can see that there is no longer a problem in Safe Mode, then you must have installed an app which is interfering with the phones functionality. You will need to identify and remove the third party app before you are able to use the phone functionality again. To exit safe mode, please restart the phone.

It occurs very frequently, having looked into it a little further I believe it's an issue with Facebook Messenger displaying over other apps. The problem occurs when closing a Messenger bubble and the app continues to display over other apps causing the lack of touch response.

hmm, that is certainly odd BS13 🤔

We suggest submitting logs as an error report. Our team will be able to analyse diagnostic data and will be able to advise on how to best proceed with the issue. It would be best to submit this within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring.

How to raise an error report:

Launch Samsung Members > Get Help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

I have been having the same issue since the last update. Hasn't been fb messenger related for me. Happens at least once a day. Have you figured anything out to fix yours yet? This phone is less than a year old so I'm feeling really frustrated rn.

I have the same problem here. On June 5, 2022 my Samsung M32 updated to Android 12 and One UI 4, since tomorrow (today is June 6) I had to force restart my mobile 10 more times.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out.

I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.
