I've noticed that when I am connected to the internet and turn on my VPN my internet stops working. When I look it says connected w/no internet. Not a techie but didn't have this problem on my S10+. How can I resolve this issue? VPNs are not supposed to turn off your internet connection. This does not happen on my TV, so why is it happening on my phone?

Shouldn't happen
Is there any kind of message or pop up when this happens

I think we also want to know which VPN software you are using and how you connect, by ppp, pptp or l2tp? Are you hosting VPN server from NAS? or Windows? or using 3rd parties? Thanks.

I'm gonna give a kind of cloud answer bc I've seen this Q a few times today...

Try the wipe cache 1st
@Cassidy

If that doesn't help, if it's an app, uninstall it and reinstall it.

After a restart if it still is not working...
Go under settings /accounts and go under the email you use then make sure everything is synced.
After that...
Grab a computer, install smartswitch, backup your device then do a factory reset 🤙

@droberson69, you can also try the steps provided by the mytech, and get back to us with the result.

Thank you mytech, for sharing the information.🙂
