When trying to correct text in a window the zoom feature doesn't show up anymore when holding on the cursor. You can't see where the cursor is without it.

In which app(s)?

Pinch to Zoom needs to be enabled in the settings of some apps.

With your thumb & index finger in the center of the screen & you pinch out, it will expand / Zoom.

If it's not try Clearing Cache & Data for the app.

Are you using any other visual enhancement, ie: Accessibility?

Yes I can get the entire screen to zoom. But there used to be a feature where you hold your finger on the flashing cursor within the text line a small bubble would come up and be zoomed in so you can easily see where you want to put the cursor

That sounds like the "magnifying glass" in Accessibility.

That's not something that I wouldn't recommend, unless you have a visual impairment. I would personally find it annoying, rather than helpful.
