To my opinion the display issue might be caused by external pressure on the side. It's not likely caused by software related.
For info, I'm using the same S22 Ultra. This is my neutral opinion btw.
All thr best.

It could be the case if it is an LCD panel. But it's an AMOLED panel. My phone has some minor and major scratches because I don't use screen protector. But there's no Crack or bent or gap. I can still use underwater. In case of LCD panel External pressure can cause Internal damage . But in case of AMOLED panel it's not possible to damage Internal parts without damaging external parts. When the phones exterior is made of 80% breakable Glass. But My phone glasses are not broken. I have another Galaxy phone Glass is broken but screen is perfectly fine 100% . That's the power of AMOLED screen.

Both LCD and Amoled basically has the same matrix structure, so normally if one the lines fail, it can cause vertical or horizontal lines.
In your case, it's neither. Anyways, all the best to you Sir. Please share with us the result/ conclusion. 👌🏻 👍🏻
