When drafting a message, I see the microphone is now on the lower left of the screen. This is very inconvenient for one hand, right hand, users. Is there any way to reposition this microphone button?

That is dependent on the keyboard you are using, but you could always use Google Assistant to compose a Text/SMS/MMS/RCS message for you.

I don't use Bixby, but it's possible that it may work as well?

Referring back to the Keyboard, I use SwiftKey, and it's microphone is on the left as well.. don't know about G-Board or other keyboards.

I can say that Google Assistant works very well for me.

Hi Gspart, unfortunately, there is no way to change this option. Maybe please try using another keyboard such as Gboard.

Thank you.

If using the default Samsung keyboard you can disable Voice Input in settings.

Thx but not really. I like the voice-to-txt option, just wanted to relocate the mic button to a more usable one-handed, right-hand use location. Th for ur time.

I didn't even know that was an option, but I've only committed to AndroidOS since 5.1.1 OneUI .
