Galaxy SWith a brand new device, it's likely that you have either been restoring a number of apps, or downloading & installing a number of apps. Clearing Cache from Recovery is press painless, and it can clear out any "junk" that may be stuck in the device's Cache.
I probably Boot into Recovery once a month or more, just to Wipe Cache... not necessarily because of any performance issues, just a habit.
