We have two big security vulnerabilities already from being stuck on a two month old update, but of course, Samsung cares more about their older s22 series and the s24. The s23 line doesn't exist to them. Switching back to iPhone or pixel, they actually care about updates and security and always on time.

My other phone is a 15 pro max and while the Samsung has more features, iOS 18 isn't too bad, and I never have to worry about security since everybody gets the updates at the same time across the world.

To be honest, this is what is happening to me right now. I keep falling for Samsung's promises, but I want to go back to Google.

The update was scheduled for the 17th, but there was an issue discovered with the Camera. 

Samsung is aware of the issue, and is working on the fix. 

Unless you are visiting sketchy sites, opening unsolicited emails / texts with attachments, you don't have reasons to panic..

All Android OEMs have 90 days to provide Security Patch Updates, as per the agreement with Google.

I have the S23Ultra too, no update yet. Also no security patch since July 2024. I'm a year and half owning this phone from Roger's in BC

I have the S23+ and still don't have the update I guess it's effecting the whole S23 line in Canada hopefully we get it soon

They should have released it and patched the camera later. I mean to hold it back for the select few that will actually get the bug is ridiculous. 🙄
