Hello MarielT,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with your new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra having issues with not receiving any call notifications on messenger, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused you.

I really understand what you are going through after trying out basic troubleshooting but coming up empty. But don't fret; we are here to guide you, and offer solutions to restore your device to optimum performance.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your device.

Different things can prevent apps from running or showing notifications. Disable any function that could be blocking notifications and then test the app to see if it sends notifications.

Disable Do not disturb and Power Saving on the phone as follows:

1) Open the Quick settings panel.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel.

2) Turn off Power saving.

If it's illuminated, tap the Power saving icon to turn off Power saving mode. This could be preventing notifications from displaying.

3) Turn off Do not disturb.

If it's illuminated, tap the Do not disturb icon to disable this feature. This could also be blocking notifications.

It happens to me too and all my other phones before. I think the messenger app is the problem

That'a what I'm thinking too. Because on my Fold 4I also experiencing the same issue. Sometimes a notif will appear and the sometimes its gone. Its annoying that you don't know who's calling you. Until you see the missed call. Even when I open the app i cannot check who's calling But is it working for you now?

What I do is I try to call everyone who is likely to call me one by one. Then it'll appear if I called the right contact, if not it'll show a that I am already on call. However, it is only useful because I only receive calls from 1-3 person so it's easier to find
